Burn Unit is divided into four divisions:
Intensive Care Unit
This unit has a number of monitors to observe patient’s vital signs and oxygen saturation; it also has ventilators used when necessary. Patients are treated in this section during the first days of critical burn injuries, when stabilized they are transferred to floors.
Operating Room
At which many operations are conducted such as the operation of debridement, dressing, and skin grafting, instead of transferring patients to the hospital main operating room in the purpose of reducing infections.
Hydrotherapy Unit:
When stabilized, patients are treated using hydrotherapy which reduces pain and helps them move their joints avoiding joint contracture, accordingly rehabilitating them.
Reconstructive Operations
These operations are conducted for patients after recovering, through the release of contractures and cosmetic surgery for burns using the latest techniques, as the insertion of tissue expanders with the purpose of expanding the healthy skin and covering burned parts.
