(JUH), the first academic
teaching hospital in the
Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Being a leader, JUH is also
the first hospital in the
Arab region, the second in
the Middle East, and the
eighteenth worldwide to
receive the accreditation of
the Joint Commission
International (JCI). the Joint Commission
International (JCI).
JUH has been keen throughout
the four decades of its
history to provide a noble
message and a clear vision
that are based on patient
care for Jordanians, Arabs,
and citizens of neighboring
countries. JUH also has
clear objectives focused on
provision of general and
specialized medical care,
advancement of scientific
and medical research, and
training of students of the
health faculties at the
University of Jordan and
other Jordanian and Arab
universities in the areas of
medicine, dentistry,
nursing, pharmacy,
rehabilitation sciences as
well as other health fields.
In addition, JUH offers
technical training and the
qualifications required for
the medical and paramedical
professions at the national
and Arab levels.
We are pleased through this

We have made sure in this
prestigious medical
institute to provide all
sections and units with the
latest medical devices and
equipments. JUH has
spearheaded in a plethora of
surgical and medical
treatments including
surgical treatment of
epilepsy, surgeries of brain
tumors and cerebral vascular
malformations, cochlear
implants, surgery of
congenital malformations in
children, plastic surgery,
bone marrow transplants in
both children and adults,
gastrointestinal capsule
endoscopy, bariatric surgery
by laparoscopy and
liposuction devices,
treatment of infertility and
IVF, and treatment of
high-risk pregnancy cases.
The hospital has also
established a laboratory for
sleep disorders and a
psychiatric unit.
JUH encompasses all major
and sub- medical and
clinical specialties
containing (64) different
specialties. It also
conducts about twenty
thousand surgical operations
annually, in addition to
treating more than half a
million patients a year. The
hospital has greatly
considered the value of
medical tourism for Arab and
non-Arab patients whose
numbers are approximately
nine thousand patients
annually from more than 25
nationalities.
In light of the growing
demand for health care at
the national and Arab
levels, and the contribution
of the hospital in
supporting the Jordanian
health care system in the
area of medical tourism, a
new section of private
suites has been established.
It consists of (20) private
suites and (3) royal suites
with high-caliber medical
and hotel services.
It is our responsibility and
commitment to provide the

offered by the best

These efforts have
culminated in the hospital
being granted multiple
national and global
accreditations in quality
and distinguished services.
Most recently, JUH has
received the Joint
Commission International
(JCI) accreditation, and has
been granted renewal
certification by the
International Organization
for Standardization, the
Hazard Analysis & Critical
Control Points (HACCP) and
the Health Care
Accreditation Council
(HCAC), all of which are
medals of honor and an
incentive for the hospital
to continue on the road to
excellence.
