Nutrition Education:
The responsibilities of this section include guiding patients, instructing them, taking notes related to food and beverage services, distributing newsletters as well as offering practical training to students of different faculties and universities in the field of patients’ nutrition.
Food Preparation:
The responsibilities of this section are:
- preparing patients’ meals according to doctors’ recommendations.
- providing cafeterias with different kinds of sandwiches and desserts.
- preparing meals and desserts to be served in the hospital’s ceremonies
JUH has three cafeterias:
- The employees’ main cafeteria.
- The outpatient clinics cafeteria.
- The private suites cafeteria.
Housekeeping:
This section plays an important role in creating a safe, infection free, and pleasant atmosphere in the hospital through following preplanned methods in cleaning and maintaining. It also provides Horticultural Maintenance Services, for the vital role that gardening plays in maintaining the fresh and hygienic atmosphere of the hospital.
Hospital housekeepers clean, mop and sterilize all the areas in the hospital, including patients rooms, outpatient clinics, public rest rooms, and the hospital surroundings. As well as the vital role they play in waste management; through activating the policy of sorting medical and household waste.
Laundry
This section provides washing and ironing services to all the hospital departments including the hospital units, floors, and operating rooms, implementing the policies and standards of quality and infection control.
